The 2024 International Nuclear Energy EXPO (INEX) was successfully held at BEXCO, Busan from April 24 to 26. This year’s event featured over 400 booths hosted by 101 companies from 11 countries and welcomed more than 15,000 participants from academia, industry, and research institutions across the nuclear and energy sectors.
Co-hosted by the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum (KAIF) and the Busan Metropolitan Government, and organized by BEXCO, the exhibition brought together leading domestic and international organizations in the nuclear industry. Major participants included Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), KEPCO KPS, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel, KEPCO Engineering & Construction, Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI), Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (KORAD), Doosan Enerbility, Westinghouse, Orano, and Framatome. Exhibitors showcased advanced technologies in areas such as nuclear safety, equipment and components, and nuclear decommissioning.

A key highlight of this year’s EXPO was the International Procurement Consulting Pavilion, hosted by KAIF. This special zone facilitated 119 business meetings between domestic SMEs and 15 international buyers representing 8 companies from 7 countries.
In addition to the main exhibition, a variety of side events were held, including briefings on collaborative growth initiatives, procurement consultations for power and nuclear equipment, and a job fair for public enterprises in the power and nuclear sectors. These events supported industry cooperation and contributed to fostering employment opportunities for the next generation.
